After determining the anticipated replacement requirement for the

evaporation losses, satisfaction of this demand from different sources

will be discussed. .The discussion will carry through the providing of

water for the satisfaction of the anticipated evaporation losses, but will

not go into the question of obtaining water above that quantity for the

sole benefit of the District, for this is considered a District matter with

no bearing on the execution of this contract. This report is structured

accordingly beginning with the analysis and determination of the anticipated

evaporation replacement requirement. Next, the different sources of obtain-

ing this water will be discussed and quantified. As soon as enough water

is shown to adequately cover the demarid, the analysis will be terminated,

the costs of obtaining this water will be estimated, and the feasibility

will be summarized. The feasibility section of this report is anticipated

to be revised at a later time, as negotiations provide more accurate price

information.

Expected Evaporation Losses
from the Chatfield Conservation Pool

The surface area of the conservation pool in the contract region has

been analyzed by Bob Owen of the Colorado Water Conservation Board by

enlarging that particular part of the stage-volume and stage-surface-area

curves. The results of his analysis were adopted in this study and are

summarized in Table 1 below.
