Social Consequences <br /> <br />Table 5 displays the social impacts and effects of relocations <br />and of flood reduction. Where applicable, mitigation measures are described <br />and the unmitigated and mitigated effects are shown. Social impacts and <br />effects of plans are described in greater detail in the supporting document <br />Social Impacts and Effects of CAWCS Plans. <br /> <br />3. Economic Consequences <br /> <br />Economic costs and benefits of plans are shown in Table 6. The <br />benefits measure the provi s ion of energy management (Pl ans 3, 6, 7), flood <br />control (all plans), recreation (Plans 1, 3, 6, 7), water supply (all plans), <br />SOD (all plans). Details of the economic analysis are presented in <br />Economics-Financial Supporting Document. Options for New or Modified Roosevelt <br />and Stewart Mountain Dams are displayed in Table 6. The determination to <br />modify existing dams or construct new dams will be based upon the results of <br />stability analyses and operations studies currently being conducted by <br />Reclamation; the environmental and social impacts and effects of new or <br />modified structures are nearly identical and will not, therefore, be considered <br />in the determination. <br /> <br />16 <br />
