<br />Table II compares, fllr the past 19 years of record, the flows at the
<br />Glen Canyon Dam site! (Colorado River at Lees Ferry), the changes
<br />in Lake Mead storag~,l and the flows of the Colorado River below
<br />Hoover Dam. In thisl19-year period, the indicated annual difi'erc
<br />ences vary from a loss <If 1,003,000 acre-feet to a gain of 524,000 acre-
<br />feet with an average ainualloss of about 113,000 acre"feet. Studies

<br />Potential future irri~ation developments in this portion of the
<br />Colorado River Basin I are estimated in House Document 419 to
<br />deplete the stream f1.owjlbY an additional 285,000 acre-feet annually, if
<br />and when the potentia projects are constructed. In the operation
<br />studies reported horei1 the average annual net loss is assumed to
<br />vari from 100,000 acrejfeet in the year 1958 to 400,000 acre-feet in
<br />the year 1970 as shownlin table III.
