<br />Whatever consideration we get
<br />in our appeal for help must come
<br />through the U. S. Department of
<br />Reclamation. The achievements of
<br />this department through its nu'mer-
<br />ous divisions have made thousands
<br />of our fellow citizens happy and
<br />prosperous. The terms upon which
<br />this government help has been made
<br />have in all cases been fair and gen-
<br />erous. We are asking only for lik~
<br />consideration and personally, I can-
<br />not escape the conviction, when the
<br />facts in our case are known to those
<br />that will make the final decision,
<br />that our hopes will be realized.
<br />Now, let us give tangible evi-
<br />deJ1Ce of our interest ill the splendid
<br />work of the Redamation Depart-
<br />ment, because it has made Hfe
<br />worth-while for so many of our fel...
<br />low citizens in all parts of our Coun-
<br />try, and especinll,y in arid and semi-
<br />arid areas of the Inter-mountain
<br />West.
<br />Let me suggest one wny of show~
<br />ing that interest.
<br />As a branch of the National Rce-
<br />lamation Association the Wyominlr
<br />Reclamation Association has pro~
<br />moted very appreciably the inter-
<br />
<br />eats of the land 0.-. ners, of the
<br />stockmen, of the business men, and
<br />of all people in all lines of effort.
<br />Let us help our association to ex-
<br />pand still furthei'. A large mem-
<br />bership will do that very thing. A
<br />year's membership costs only one
<br />dollar. . That investment wili bring'
<br />\"ou liberal returns.
<br />. In the first place you will have
<br />keen satisfaction in aiding a wort.hy
<br />cause. And then, you will receive
<br />a copy of the proc'eedings of the an-
<br />nual convention and much other
<br />. "printed matter that will prove pro-
<br />fitable.
