)

interest: in Millard Canyon (RM 33.5), a juvenile razorback
sucker was collected. This 203mm fish was part of a stock
of razorback that was hatched in 1993, and stocked near
Split Mountain on October 31, 1996. It appeared to be in
excellent condition after we collected it nearly 300 miles
downstream.

Table 1- Summary of ISMP adult electrofishing, 1997.
River Flow # of CS Mean
Reach Miles Date (CFS) AD. The
goal of sampling 48 backwaters (two per five mile reach) was
met, however some of these were sub-ISMP standard, and in a
few a second seine haul was not taken. Fish from all primary
seine hauls (the first haul in a five mile reach) were either
counted and identified in the field or preserved for later
analysis. Those fish were transferred to the Larval Fish
Lab. Although every effort was made to identify CS in the
field, smaller CS may have been preserved.

This year the peak spring flow was above average at over
33000 cfs. Flows in the Green River remained unusually high
all year, resulting in poor reproductive success for the

3
