In addition, the final environmental state- <br />ment should indicate that excavation of site 5CF7 has been <br />postponed by mutual agreement between the Bureau of <br />Reclamation, Southern Colorado State College, and the <br />National Park Service. <br /> <br />The statement also implies in several places that the <br />State Historic Preservation Officer has been consulted <br />with respect to historical values. However, the final <br />statement should clearly present the results of this <br />latter consultation with respect to all proposed features <br />of the project. The statement also indicates (p. VIII-3) <br />that consultation with the Advisory Council on Historic <br />Preservation has been effected but fails to detail the <br />nature and results of this consultation. <br /> <br />Pursuant to Section 800.2 of the Advisory Council's <br />"Procedures for the Protection of Historic and Cultural <br />properties" (Federal Register, Volume 39, No. 18, <br />January 25, 1974), the final environmental statement <br />should detail measures that have been taken to evaluate <br />all cultural values in project areas for eligibility to <br />the National Register of Historic Places, as well as any <br />nominations that have resulted therefrom.
