Pueblo Subdistrict; USGS; and <br />National Geodetic Survey to obtain horizontal and vertical control data for the project <br />area. <br /> <br />Began preparing Aerial Mapping Scope of Work and Requests For Proposals (RFP's). <br /> <br />Met with lower Arkansas Valley water commissioners to further identify problem areas <br />and possible solutions. <br /> <br />Finalized Minutes of July and August meetings and provided to interested panies <br />including State of Kansas and SE Water Conservancy District. <br /> <br />Problems and Solutions Identified to Date <br /> <br />After meetings with government persOlmel, residents and landowners the following <br />problems and solutions are emerging with regard to the Arkansas River channel and <br />associated high groundwater tables adjacent to the channel. <br /> <br />Possible Reasons For Channel Problems Beinf Suggested By <br />Study Participants Including Residents And Landowners <br /> <br />Pueblo Reservoir regulation (including 6,000 cfs limitation at <br />Avondale ), <br /> <br />John Martin Reservoir winter water storage program, <br /> <br />Increase in transmountain water, <br /> <br />Increases in Fountain Creek base flow, storm run-oft: and sediment <br />transport, <br /> <br />Change in flow duration and flood frequency in the study reach, <br />
