Rose
Executive Director
Texas Water Development Board
1700 North Congress Avenue
Austin, Texas 78711

Dear Mr. Rose:

Thank you for the opportunity to review the draft
technical memorandum to the U.S. Water Resources
Council concerning the 1975 National Water Assess-
ment. The "Rio Grande Region Specific Problem Area
Summary Report" does not identify any problems rela-
ted to air quality, nor are there any adverse air
quality effects to consider relative to the Texas
State Implementation Plan for air pollution control;
therefore, we have no official comments to make on
this document.

We appreciate the work being done in the assessment
of water and land resources to identify the Nation's
water problems. If we can be of further assistance,
please contact me.

siterelYl

jtlC-~Xlu-~-- \

B~ll Stewart, P.E.
E~ecutive Director

'OU3137

88
