<br />.' <br /> <br />,DEPARTIIENT 01 the-INTERIOR <br /> <br />D ~~mJ(W7 m <br /> <br />JUN 10 i983 Ul <br />COLORADO IV <br />CONSERVA TfON A TER <br />80ARD June 7, 1983 <br />(303) 234-4257 <br /> <br />4881 <br /> <br />news release <br /> <br /> <br />BUREAU OF RECLAMATION <br />LOWER MISSOURI REGION <br />DENVER, COLORADO <br /> <br />FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br /> <br />PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING THE <br />ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF THE 2d ROUND SALE <br />OF WATER FROM RUEDI RESERVOIR <br /> <br />A public meeting on the sale of additional water service from Ruedi <br />Keservoir, Fryingpan-Arkansas Project, will take place on June 23, 1983, <br />at 7 p.m. in the Glenwood Sprinqs Ramada Inn Motel, according to <br />Bill Martin, Bureau of Reclamation Regional Director in Denver. <br /> <br />This meeting is the last of the series held as a part of the environmental <br />assessment of alternative operations, magnitude of water sales, and <br />delivery schedule effects on Ruedi Reservoir and the associated river <br />basins. <br /> <br />The primary purpose of this meeting will be to announce the Bureau's <br />selected operational alternative, including the quantity of water to <br />be made available. for contract under the 2d round sale from Ruedi <br />Reservoir. The evaluation and selection process will be discussed, <br />as will plans and schedules for preparation of the supplement to the <br />Fryingpan-Arkansas Final Environmental Statement which will address <br />the selected plan. <br /> <br />For further information, interested persons should contact Richard B. <br />Eggen, Regional Environmental Officer, Bureau of Reclamation, Lower <br />Missouri Region, P.O.
