The interchange, which is to be accomplished without in-
creasing the District's costs, will tend to increase the firm power
output of Boulder Dam, provide additional sources of power for
supplying the District's load and will facilitate the disposal of the
District's unused firm energy.
The District's allotment, 35.2517 % of the fil1TI energy, amounts
to 1,514,000,000 kwhI' for the Boulder year of operation ending
May 31, 1942, which is sufficient to pump approximately 1000 sec-
ond feet continuous flow in the Aqueduct. Present forecasts of .
water requirements indicate that this quantity will not be needed
until 1965. In the meantime a block of firm energy within the
District's allotment will be available for resale by the Secretary of
the Interior for the credit of the District.
