Reconrnended revi- <br />~ions and additions are being incorporated into current designs and cost <br />est~~tes for e&ch project unit. Plans of the Colorado River Storage and <br />Central Utah projects were presented to interested water Users at Roose- <br />velt, Price, Salt Lake City, and Nephi, Utah. Cost estimate and payout <br />schedules fer Gunnison River plants were prepared for similar meetings in <br />Colorado early in October. Monthly Gunnison Tunnel diversions were <br />extended to include the 19J1-1948 ~eriod of study 50 that power production <br />at Crystal Unit could be ascertained under existing conditions of flow. <br />Combined system operatiorl studies were continued. Considerable investiga- <br />tion of Gunnison River units operating individually or together but separate <br />from other storage project units was made for purposes of comparison during <br />the hearings in Colorado early in October. <br /> <br />Green Division, Colorado-Utah-Wyoming <br /> <br />"~ <br />dl <br />"-:J <br />''.1' <br /> <br />Flaming Gorge Unit. Topographic mapping of the construction <br />camp site on a scale of Iff = 400' and a contour interval of 5 feet <br />was completed. Rcugh preliminary designs and estimates were revised <br />for the Ashley Dam site and repayment studies were made. Prepara- <br />tion of maps of the Ashley Dam site was continued. Geologic <br />inspection of the dam site was made by a geologist from the <br />regional office. Preliminary location of drill holes were staked <br />and drilling operations were be~~n. <br />
