<br />.....,. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Gunnison River Project, Colorado <br /> <br />Although this work has been considered complete, it was necessary to <br />conduct some additional reconnaissance surveys on the upper tributaries of <br />the Uncompahgre River in conne~tion with preliminary plans and estimates <br />for features in that area. Preliminary plans and cost estimates were <br />under preparation for irrigation facilities to serve the Log Hill Mesa <br />area west of the Uncompahgre River, the Fruitland Mesa area west of the <br />Smith Fork River and for Goddard Mesa located about 6 miles northwest of <br />Montrose. Work was started on a plan for serving the irrigahle land <br />located north of the Gunnison River between Grand Junction and Delta. <br />The writing of the appendix was 20 percent complete. The completion of <br />water supply ar~ water requirement studies was delayed because land <br />resources investigations were incomplete. The classification of land in <br />the basin was completed but work remaining included assembling maps, tabu- <br />lating acreages, and preparing other data required in the land classifi- <br />cation report and appendix. The writing of thp. power and economics <br />appendices was each brought to 20 percent completion. The preparation of <br />the report was continued, <br /> <br />Crawford Division, Colorado <br /> <br />Smith Fork Unit. All preliminary designs and cost estimates .. <br />were completed on the project and data on the Smith Fork Feeder <br />Canal and Aspon Outlet Canal were ready for submission to the Regional <br />Office for review. Preliminary designs and estimates on minor feat- <br />ures, including road relocation, reservoir rights-of-way, telephone <br />line relocations, and transmission line relocation, have been com- <br />pleted but will not he submitted for review prior to completion of <br />the appendix. The appendix is 20 percent complete. Hydrologic <br />studies were completed and the appendix was revised in accordance <br />with the recommendations of the regional hydrologist. It is ready <br />for resubmission for review by the Hydrology Division, Denver. <br /> <br />Silt Project, ColoradO <br /> <br />Econorr~c studies were completed so far as possible until revised cost <br />est~tes are available.
