<br /> <br />These soils have the most favorable climate for irrigated crops and <br />are occupied by approximately 75,000 acres of the presently irri- <br />gated cropland. There is a potential for additional irrigation <br />development. Grazing is the major land use at present and there <br />is no dry cropland. <br /> <br />Group II: <br />(BROWN) <br /> <br />Soils of Warm semiarid to DI"U Subhumid ReaionB <br />- '. <br /> <br />This group constitutes 14.5 percent of the basin and consists of <br />soils that are of moderate extent in all the states.
