CO 81052 <br /> <br />Subject: <br /> <br />Response to your letter dated 12/8/89 - City of <br />Lamar's use of clohn Martin Reservoir to regulate <br />releases of Frying P~n Arkansas Water <br /> <br />') <br /> <br />Deilr Mr. Sl.d nn: <br /> <br />I have been directed to write to you by the Arkansas River Compact <br />Administration, acting as its Operations Secretary. to advise YOU of <br />the Administration's action on your request. <br /> <br />It is the Administration's position that henceforth should the City <br />of LanJar desire to utilize ,John Nartin Reservoir in a manner similar <br />to that which occurred during 19.89, the following procedure is to be <br />followed to secure the Administration's approval. <br /> <br />.:-.' <br /> <br />Three weeks prior to the initiation of any operation which requires <br />the utilization of John Martin Reservoir as a regulating device, the <br />City shall provide written notice of its intent detailing the <br />specific terms of the proposed operation to the Operations <br />Secretary, These terms should include: the total volume, source, <br />and intended use of water to be regulated: the nomirial rate of <br />inflow to John Martin; (i.e., rate of release from Pueblo) the <br />rpc'll.It);-:;tc:"d I lite ()[ lol"'_":1:30 fl'()1Jl ,JUJlfl Mdt l,ill; the required point of <br />delivery; the proposed date of initiation; and the approximate <br />duration of the operation.
