Ron 01 crnan

GenU emen:

I received the attached notification of the City of Lamar's inte1t
to utilize John Martin Reservoir to regulate releases of Frying
Pan-Arkansas Project water for municipal use. As per the hdrrUn-
istration's instructions to me at the December 12, 1989 meeting, I
am forwarding this tD the hdrrUnistration members for your
consideration. It is my understanding that the City and the
. Operations Secretary are to consider the hdrrUnistration's approval
to have been granted unless objection is received fram either or
both of the states comprising the Administration, by the Operatons
Secretary within a three week notice period.

It should be noted that on 5/17/1990 the Southeastern Colorado Water
Conservancy District allocated only ,1700 acre feet of project water
to the City of Lamar rather tl~the 2000 acre feet requested and
that the allocated amount will be subject to appropriate transit
losses enroute to John Hartin, evaporation losses during the
regulation period, and appropriate transit losses fram John Martin
to the Fort Bent Ditch. Only the remaining amount will be delivered
within the proposed time period.

Thank you for your consideration of this matter.

Sincerely,

~ ',-/'
~/(4,~

even J.
