<br /> <br />Ditches choosing to participate forgo winter diversions to fallow land <br />and, in turn, are allowed to store up to one~half of that part ,of their <br />direct flow right then under call in Pueblo Reservoir. The division <br />Engineer decides the date of the river call in effect at any given time. <br />Certain provisions are made to supply water to entities with off- <br />channel storage below Pueblo. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />1132 <br /> <br />Minimum Reservoir Release <br /> <br />During the months of December, January, and February, a portion of the <br />natural flow of the Arkansas River, entitled "Winter Water," will be <br />stored in Pueblo Reservoir as directed by the Division Engineer. At <br />all other times, the natural flow of the Arkansas River will be passed <br />through the reservoir except for that water storable by decree. Before <br />any natural flow can be stored in Pueblo Reservoir, sufficient water <br />must be in the Arkansas River to assure filling of the conservation pool <br />of John Martin Reservoir; and all senior rights between Pueblo Reservoir <br />and John Martin Reservoir must be satisfied. Project water released <br />from Turquoise Lake to meet minimum flow in Lake Fork Creek will be stored <br />in Pueblo Reservoir. <br /> <br />Reservoir Operation_ <br /> <br />Winter water will be released from Pueblo Reservoir according to the <br />orders of the irrigators placed with the Division Engineer's office. <br /> <br />Delivery of Project water to the Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy . <br />District will be made from Pueblo Reservoir. If additional water is <br />needed to meet the deliveries than what is the conservation pool, it <br />will be transferred ,from Turquoise Lake. <br /> <br />Table 6 and Exhibit 10 show the proposed operation of Pueblo Reservoir <br />in water year 1976. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />16 <br />
