The project includes two <br />7.5 meter diameter, 600 meter long tunnels for diversion and <br />power waterways, a 100 MW power plant and a large gated <br />concrete chute spi I Iway for a maximum discharge of 4200 cubic <br />meters/second. <br /> <br />Member and Chairman of the lfiternational Board of Consultants <br />for the Sirikit Dam Project in Thai land. The Board reviewed <br />and approved of designs and construction. The Sirikit Project <br />includes a 109 meter high, 760 meter long earthfi I I dam, <br />containing 10,800,000 cubic meters of fi I I material. The <br />project also includes two 13.7 meter horseshoe shaped diversion <br />tunnels, each 810 meters long; two 8.5 meter diameter power <br />tunnels, each 640 meters long; two tunnel-type gated spi I Iways <br />for 4500 cubic meters per second discharge and provisions for <br />a 400 MW power plant. <br /> <br />Served as a member of a Special Board of Consultants for the <br />Kremasta Hydroelectric Project in Greece. The project <br />included a 160 meter high earth and rock fi I I dam with a <br />crest length of 460 meters and a volume of 8,100,000 cubic <br />meters. The project also included a 12.6 meter diameter, <br />954 meter long diversion tunnel; four 5.33 meter diameter, <br />500 meter long power tunnels; one road access tunnel; a <br />gated spi I Iway with concrete I ined chute and fl ip bucket for <br />3000 cubic meter per second discharge, 400 MW power plant. <br /> <br />Special Consultant to Kaiser Engineers and Constructors on the <br />design and construction of the Dead Sea Dike in Israel. This <br />dike is 36 km long and contains approximately 6,000,000 cubic <br />meters of. fi II. Average height about 7 meters; fi II consists <br />of sand and gravels placed by bottom dump barges. Cutoff was <br />achieved by the slurry trench method. <br /> <br />Member of Boards of Consultants for Mangla and Tarbela Dams, <br />Government of West Pakistan; Vermi I ion and Mammoth Pool Dams, <br />Southern Cal ifornia Edison Company, Cal ifornia; and Cal ifornia <br />Adueduct, Cal ifornia Department of Water Resources. Also <br />served as Board member for design and construction on many <br />other dam projects in the United States, Canada, Brazi I, Chi Ie, <br />Korea, Indonesia, and Israel. <br />
