Sparks <br />June 17, 1977 <br />Page 11 <br /> <br />of 20 years in the fields of engineering geology and rock <br /> <br /> <br />mechanics in various parts of the world, under a wide range <br /> <br /> <br />of geologic conditions, makes him well suited for this role. <br /> <br /> <br />His specific experience in foundation investigation and design <br /> <br /> <br />for dams includes 10 concrete dams and six embankment dams. <br /> <br />In case of schedule conflicts, Dr. Peter J. Conroy will be <br /> <br /> <br />the alternate to Dr. Bukovansky. During Dr. Conroy's 13 years <br /> <br /> <br />with Harza Engineering Company and 5 years with Dames & Moore <br /> <br /> <br />he was involved in investigation and design of foundations <br /> <br /> <br />for 12 major dam projects. He has extensive experience in field <br /> <br /> <br />investigations, planning foundation grouting programs and also <br /> <br /> <br />in field inspection of grouting operations. <br /> <br />Principal Investigator - Dam and General Soil Mechanics. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Larry K. Davidson will serve as Principal Investigator in <br /> <br /> <br />the area of soil mechanics. He has a varied background of 13 <br /> <br /> <br />years in site investigations, laboratory testing and engineering <br /> <br /> <br />studies in connection with structural foundations, slope stability, <br /> <br /> <br />both natural and man-made, and has served as Principal Investigator <br /> <br /> <br />for 6 major dams. Most recently, Mr. Davidson supervised the <br /> <br /> <br />investigations and design of a 230-foot high embankment dam which <br /> <br /> <br />is presently under construction in South Dakota. <br /> <br />Dr. Neville Donovan will assist Mr. Davidson in reviewing the <br /> <br /> <br />seismic design aspects of the project.
