Many well owners have received their allotted decrees but <br />many filings are still before the water court. The State Engineer has <br />drafted rules and regulations regarding operation of irrigation wells <br />tributary to the river and may order them shut down if it is necessary to <br />supply direct rIow priorities. <br /> <br />r" <br /> <br />Part time operation is to be permitted that would supply most allot~ <br />ments and even full time if some alternate source satisfactory to the State <br />Engineer is found for replacements of pumped water. <br /> <br />The dam on the Purgatoire at Trinidad probabl.y will not be in operation <br />this year but when completed will han' the right to store 20,000 a.f. of <br />irrigation water and have a 4,500aJ.pool for recreation, fish and wild life. <br />The flood capacity will be used to regulate floods through Trinidad and <br />storage if John Martin Reservoir is filled. <br /> <br />The report of our Secretaq: shows cash receipts and disbursements <br />during the year. Our budget of 1973, includes besides the usual items, one <br />half the cost of the International Tractor and Dozer purchased last ,}'t!ar <br />w!lich was carried I)ver.
