<br />Formal notification is horewith givon you that acting under the
<br />authority vested in me by Senate Bill No, 64, passed by the Fifth
<br />State Legislature of Arizona, I have today appointed you as Colerado
<br />Rivor Basin Commissioner, to represent the State of Arizona on the
<br />joint commission, to be composed of representatives of the states
<br />of California, Colorade, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming and
<br />Arizona, and a duly authorized representative of the United States,
<br />to negotiate and enter into a compact between said states, arid
<br />between said states and the United States, with the consent of
<br />Congress, respecting utilization and disposition of the waters of
<br />the Colorado Rivor and streams tributary thereto, and fixing and
<br />dotermining tho rights of tho said states and the rights of the
<br />United States in and te the use and disposition of the waters of
<br />said streams,

<br />Due notification has boen given the Secretary of State and the
<br />State Auditor of your appointmont, effective this date,
