<br />8 <br /> <br />COpy <br /> <br />My dear Mr, Hall: <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE OFFICE <br />PHOENIX ARIZONA <br /> <br />Murch 23, 1921. <br /> <br />Formal notification is herewith given you.that acting under the <br />authority vested in me by Senate Bill No, 64 passed by the Fifth <br />State Legislature of Arizona, I have today appointed W. S. Norviel <br />to represent the State of Arizona on the joint Commission to be com- <br />posed of representatives of the states of California, Colorado, <br />Nevada, New Nexico, Utah, Wyoming and Arizona, and a duly authorized <br />representative of the United States .to negotia~e and enter into a <br />compact between said states and between said states and the United <br />States, with the. oonsent of Congress, respectirig utilization and <br />disposition of tho waters of the Colorado River and stroams tributary <br />thereto, and fixing and determining the righto of the said states and <br />the rights of the United States in and to tho use and disposition of <br />the waters of said stroams. <br /> <br />. <br />Hon.
