<br />
<br />Bonny Reservoir storaqe is transferred to Swanson Lake as required where
<br />releases into t.he Republican RivQr are regulated to meet the industr.-ial
<br />needs of the Amoco Production COffil?arlY and Li1ud Petroleum Corporation for
<br />their \...ater flood operations in the Sleepy Hollow Oil Field, SQ11th of
<br />Bdrtley, Nebraska.

<br />Bonny Reservoir inflows from the South Fork of the Repllblican River and
<br />Landsman Creek are released into Hale Ditch, as requested by the State
<br />Engineer of Colorado. Bonny storage ~ater is aVQilable to Hale Ditch and
<br />other nutural flow nppropriators under temporury contr~cts. Much of the
<br />700 acres served by Hale Ditch is now owned and operab:~d by t.he Colorado
<br />Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife, fOJ_- wildlife pur-
<br />poses.

<br />The normal operation pattern of Bonny Reservoir, with a slov,'ly rising or
<br />stable pool, enhances fish spa.wning in the spring a'1d affords excellent

<br />Amoco Produc tion CI)mpany and Ladd petrolellITl Corporation wi II have an
<br />wa~er supply in 1976. Bonny storage will also be availabl~ for sale
<br />Ditch and other pl-ivatc i.crigators ur:der tcmpCi:ary contracts.
