The headquarters for the Department of Agriculture work in <br /> <br />this basin will be here in Denver where close liaison can be maintained <br /> <br />with the staff technicians of the Water Conservation Board. The area <br /> <br />of coverage for the survey will be the same as the Upper Colorado River <br /> <br />Basin as provided in the Upper Basin Compact. Technical coordination <br /> <br />between Federal agencies will apparently rest with the Coordinated Plan- <br /> <br />ning Subcommittee of the Pacific Southwest Inter Agency Committee, <br /> <br />though all details and aspects of this have not been completely worked <br /> <br />out. There will be a high degree of cobrdination between the concurrent <br /> <br />surveys of the Upper Basin and the Lower Basin, as well as with those <br /> <br />of California Basins and the Great Basin. <br /> <br />TYPE IV RIVER BASIN SURVEYS <br /> <br />The report of the Water and Related Land Resources of the White <br /> <br />River Basin was completed and published since the last Water Conserva- <br /> <br />cion Board meeting. About 450 copies have been distributed to interested <br /> <br />parties and agencies and additional requests are being filled as received. <br /> <br />This is the third of the series of similar reports being cooperatively <br /> <br />prepared by the staff of the Water Board and the Department of Agriculture <br /> <br />and published under the program developed about four years ago by Director <br /> <br />Sparks and former Chief Engineer Kuiper.
