At this rate, the active power storage in the <br /> <br />Upper Basin reservoirs and in Lake Mead will reach a minimum of about <br /> <br />8.3 million acre-feet before the spring runoff starts next year. <br /> <br />General Investi~ations <br /> <br />Feasibility Investi~ations <br />Feasibility designs and estimates have been completed for all proj- <br /> <br />ect features in the Battlement Mesa Project. Draft copies of reports <br /> <br />have been received from the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation and the Forest <br /> <br />Service. With respect to the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation report, a <br /> <br />meeting is scheduled for December 6 to discuss the Bureau of Reclamation <br /> <br />report findings and recommendations. Preliminary values have been received <br /> <br />from the Bureau of Sport Fisheries and Wildlife's report and we expect <br /> <br />to receive the report shortly. Preparation of the designs and estimates <br /> <br />and financial analysis appendices are underway. All other appendices <br /> <br />are complete and the proposed feasibility report is scheduled for comple- <br /> <br />tion in February 1967. <br />Plan formulation studies, water supply studies, and agricultural <br /> <br />economic studies are continuing on the Bluestone Project. A foundation <br /> <br />exploration program has been laid out for the Parachute damsite and <br /> <br />drilling will be undertaken this winter. The proposed feasibility report <br />is scheduled for completion in mid F.Y. 1968. <br />On the Grand Mesa Project plan formulation studies and water supply <br /> <br />studies are in progress. Foundation explorations at Electric Mountain <br /> <br />damsite were campleted. <br /> <br />With regard to the aerial topographic maps for the Electric Moun- <br /> <br />tain Service Canal, a meeting was held with the contractor and agreements <br /> <br />4 <br />
