The full program <br />contemplates carrying out practices on 120,000 acres <br />which are expected to result in significant reduction <br />in salt contribution. The Rural Clean Water Project <br />(RCWP) previously mentioned has been absorbed into the <br />on-farm program of the Department of Agriculture. <br />The Southeastern Utah 208 Plan was conditionally <br />certified by the State on April 14, 1980, and condi- <br />tionally approved by EPA on May 22, 1980. <br /> <br />The Wayne County portion of the Six-County Commis- <br />sioner's Organization (SCCO) 208 Plan was certified by <br />the State on April 10, 1980, and forwarded to EPA for <br />approval, which is pending. <br />The Ute Indian Tribe has contracted with EPA for <br />completion of the tribal 208 plan and planning is still <br />underway. <br />The Five-County 208 Plan was conditionally certified <br />by the State on December 11, 1979, and conditionally <br />approved by EPA on May 2, 1980. <br />Wyoming - The Water Quality Management Plan for <br />Lincoln, Uinta and Sweetwater Counties has been adopted <br />at the local level, certified by the Governor and sub- <br />mitted to EPA for approval on March 20, 1980. The <br />Regional Administrator, Region VIII, gave conditional <br />approval to the plan on October 9, 1980. <br /> <br />-)1- <br /> <br />; - .~" <br />
