<br />OOH27 <br /> <br />Committee is reconstituted to be comprised of representatives of each of <br />the following Federal agencies and States which elect to participate: <br />the Departments of Agriculture; Army; Commerce; Health, Education, and <br />Welfare; Housing and Urban Development; Interior; and Transportation; <br />Environmental Protection Agency; Federal Power Commission; and the <br />States of Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, <br />North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. <br /> <br />(b) The Federal members of the Committee shall be designated <br />by the heads of the Federal agency they are to represent and shall <br />preferably be resident in the area. <br /> <br />(c) The State members of the Committee shall be the Governors, <br />their designated representatives, or designees as specified by State law. <br /> <br />for them. <br /> <br />(d) Committee members may designate other officials to serve <br /> <br />(e) Federal agencies will participate in the work of the <br />Committee in accordance with their respective responsibilities and <br />interests, and with the intent of the Water Resources Planning Act of <br />1965, Public Law 89-80. <br /> <br />(f) The State agencies will participate in the work of the <br />Committee in accordance with their respective responsibilities and <br />interests and responsibilities contained in the Water Resources Planning <br />Act. <br /> <br />(g) When appropriate, other Federal, State, public, and <br />private agencies will be asked to participate in Committee meetings and <br />Co appoint representatives to specific subcommittees in order that the <br />work of the Committee may be coordinated with the related work of all <br />interests. <br /> <br />(h) A Chairman shall be elected annually from and by the <br />members of the Committee. Except by unanimous consent the Chairman <br />shall not succeed himself. <br /> <br />(i) <br />sha 11 norma 11y <br />administrative <br /> <br />The Federal agency or State which provides the Chairman <br />provide the Secretary for the Committee and the necessary <br />support incident to his tenure. <br /> <br />(j) The Committee shall have such additional staff assistants <br />as the Federal agencies of States may, upon request, assign to it. <br /> <br />4. METHOD OF OPERATION <br /> <br />(a) Meetings will be held as often as required, in times and <br />places appropriate to the agenda and normally at intervals of not more <br />than two to three months.
