<br />o <br />....) <br />f-/> <br />c..., <br />en <br />o <br /> <br />"":.: .:-~~, .'. <br /> <br />Boating Devclopment <br /> <br />This development is so located as to ut:ilize desirable terrain <br /> <br />near the first point of approach to the reservoir so that boat trailers <br /> <br />will not be requircd to penetrate the arca any further than necessary. <br /> <br />BOf:t l2unching and beaching aroas, as well as parking space, are to be <br /> <br />provided hero. A boat house may be required for housing and maintaining <br /> <br />a Government patrol boat. <br /> <br />.:. <br /> <br />Camping and P:icnicking Development <br /> <br /> <br />Twenty-five picnic tables and grate units are to be located in <br /> <br />suitable places to provide for tl1e fishermen, p:icnickcrs, and campers <br /> <br />who are expected to use tl1e area, Pit type toilets and garbage pits are <br /> <br />considered necessary to complete this development. <br /> <br />Land Requ:irements <br /> <br />The s:ite selected for public use and development :is proposed <br /> <br />as the area best suited to moet recreational requirements after con- <br /> <br />sideration of such factors as size, suitabil:ityof terrain, proximity <br /> <br />to the water and accessibility. <br /> <br />If sufficient water is releesed and fishing proves to be good <br /> <br />downstream from tho dam, it is believed the Bureau's land in this area <br /> <br />will prove popular to fishermen. Hikers may also be attracted to the <br /> <br />area. It is recommonded that land be reserved for recreation US'", within <br /> <br />the Bureau's "take line," extending to the ea st and we st as cro ssha tched <br /> <br />en the Reservoir I"iap on Drawing No. as/tIC-7l0]. This would include a <br /> <br />total of about 2]0 acr8S.
