<br />connection with them under the Fryingpan authorizing legislation would be
<br />non-reimbursable. Mr. Smith was enthusiastic about the usage that the
<br />various reservoirs on the Fryingpan would provide for the public in years
<br />to corne. Mr. Smith observed that previously the National Parks Service
<br />had obtained its funds direct from the Bureau of Reclamation but that in the
<br />fiscal year 1966, the Forest Service plans to go direct to Congress for rec-
<br />reational appropriations; that not much land had been acquired at Ruedi for
<br />z:oecreation beyond the high water line. Mr. Smith observed that at Twin
<br />Lakes aod Sugar Loaf, approximately half of the area for recreation was not
<br />in the national forest and that the boundaries of the national forest would be
<br />extended to enclude lands acquired for reservoir purposes.

<br />Mr. Milenski stated that the terms of office of Messrs. McCandless, Stapleton
<br />and Nelson of the Colorado Water Conservation Board would expire in May,
<br />1965, and he suggested that the Board endorse the reappointment of these
<br />gentlemen. Discussion being had, and upon motion made, seconded and car-
<br />ried, it was so resolved.

<br />The education committee was charged with the responsibility of developing
<br />a plan for the symposium on river administration, surface and underground
<br />water problems.
<br />
<br />Mr. Christy was authorized to !lttend the Rivers and Harbors meeting in
<br />June and Mr. Boustead to accompany him.
<br />
