These reports were mailed to interested <br /> <br />agencies and groups in the respective states, along with <br /> <br />notices of regional public meetings being held by the Forum. <br /> <br /> <br />The Forum held public meetings on September 29, 1981 in <br /> <br />Las Vegas, Nevada, and on October 1, 1981, in Grand Junction, <br /> <br />Colorado, t~ receive comments on the 1981 Review. A total of <br />19 agencies or individuals submitted comments at the meetings <br />or by mail. As a result of this public input, the Forum <br />prepared a supplement to the July 1981 report which <br /> <br />summarized and analyzed the comments received and made <br />modifications to the report based on the comments. Copies of <br /> <br />the supplement were later distributed by member states to <br />organizations receiving the 1981 Review report. <br />As each of the Basin states proceeded with its adoption <br /> <br />process, statewide public hearings were held in which <br /> <br />comments from the public were invited. Additional copies of <br /> <br />. the standards review and supplement were provided to <br /> <br />interested groups upon request. <br /> <br />Forum members participated with their state 208 agencies <br /> <br />in matters related to salinity and salinity control and will <br /> <br />continue to do so as the need arises. <br /> <br />-39- <br />
