Installation of <br />hydropower units along the South Canal will result in the degradation of <br />this fishery resource either because fish screens wi 11 be required, or <br />because the fish mortality rate will be suCh that the fishery population <br />in the lower reaches of the canal will be insignificant. <br /> <br />IS-16 <br />
