Additional upstream <br />flood control structures are needed to further stabilize the <br />downstream flood control protection and allow downstream structures <br />to reallocate initial project purposes to needed purposes that <br />have emerged. <br /> <br />Establishment of funding programs to develop needed recrea- <br />tional facilities. <br /> <br />Available surface water supplies in this ASA have been fully <br />appropriated and there is a need to transport water from areas of <br />surplus to the areas of need. <br /> <br />Funding is necessary to initiate an additional study to en- <br />compass those sectors of the Rush Springs Sandstone that lies in <br />Dewey, Blaine and northern Custer County that have not been prev- <br />iously assessed. <br /> <br />Additional funds are needed to fully accomplish the stream water <br />quality objectives on ongoing studies that are presently inadequately <br />addressin3 the existing proble~s and their ramifications. Many com- <br />munities are unable to comply with P. L. 92-500. <br /> <br />Funding is needed to initiate groundwater Hydrologic Studies <br />of fresh water basins not addressed by prior reports. <br /> <br />The following conclusions and recommendations apply to Problem <br />Area 5 in ASA Il06 which includes Roger Mills, Custer, Beckham, Washita, <br />Caddo, Grady, Greer, Harmon, Jackson, Kiowa, Tillman, Comanche, Cotton, <br />Stephens, Jefferson, Garvin, Murray, Carter, Love, Johnston, and Marshal <br />Counties: <br /> <br />Funding of additional studies are needed to address flooding <br />problems due to changes in the runoff of the drainage basins caused <br />by urban, rural and related development. Additional upstream flood <br />control structures are needed to further stabilize the downstream <br />flood control protection and allow downstream structures to reallocate <br />initial project purposes to needed purposes that have emerged. <br /> <br />Available surface water supplies in this ASA have been fully <br />appropriated and there is a need to transport water from areas of <br />surplus to the areas of need. <br /> <br />Funding is needed to initiate groundwater Hydrologic Studies <br />of fresh water basins not addressed by prior reports. <br /> <br />20 <br />
