Additional up- <br />stream flood control structures are needed to further stabilize <br />the downstream flood control protection and allow downstream <br />structures to reallocate initial project purposes to needed pur- <br />poses that have emerged. <br /> <br />Funding is needed to institute research and establish test <br />plots for the analyses of alternative methods to control phreato- <br />phytes. Cooperative funding among appropriate agencies is needed <br />to erradicate those areas densely populated. This problem also <br />occurs in the Red River Basin. <br /> <br />Appropriation of funds are needed to develop and impleme~t <br />public policy and involvement programs to stimulate advancement <br />of the Chloride Control Project through the planning stages to <br />the actual construction of the project. <br /> <br />Establishment of funding programs to develop needed recrea- <br />tional facilities. <br /> <br />Conclusions and recommendations applicable to Problem Area 3 <br />in ASA Il04 which includes Osage, Nowatta, Ottawa, Pawnee, Tulsa, <br />Rogers, Mayes, Delaware, Creek, Okmulgee, Muskogee, Wagner, Cherokee, <br />Adair, and Sequoyah Counties are as follows: <br /> <br />Funding of additional studies are needed to address flooding <br />problems due to changes in runoff of the drainage basins caused by <br />urban, rural and related development. Additional upstream flood <br />control structures are needed to further stabilize the downstream <br />flood control protection and allow downstream structures to reallo- <br />cate initial project purposes to needed purposes that have emerged. <br /> <br />Water transfer is needed to alleviate existing problems encount- <br />ered by approximately fifty communities throughout the state. <br /> <br />The following conclusions and recommendations apply to Problem <br />Area 4 in ASA ll05 which includes Woodward, Dewey, Blaine, Canadian, <br />Oklahoma City, Lincoln, Seminole, Pottawatomie, Cleveland, McClain, <br />Okfuskee, Hughes, Pittsburg, and McIntosh Counties: <br /> <br />Funding of additional studies are needed to address flooding <br />problems due to changes in the runoff of the drainage basins caused <br /> <br />19 <br />
