<br />w <br />'" <br />o <br />en <br /> <br />PublH: Law 93-320, the Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Act, enacted <br />June ~4, 1974, Title I of the Act gives authorization for the construction <br />of th'e measures downstream from Imperial Dam and makes the replacement of <br />bypas,$ and reject waters a Federal obligation. Public Law 93-320 is repro- <br />duce~ herein as Appendix C, <br /> <br />E, Project Description <br /> <br />The s~ven measures to be implemented in the Desalting Complex Unit of <br />Title I are: (1) construction of the Yuma Desalting Plant; (2) construc- <br />tion of the Bypass Drain in the United States and Mexico; (3) implementa- <br />tion of measures for Wellton-Mohawk irrigation efficiency improvement <br />(Irrigation Management Services, Onfarm Systems Improvement, Research and <br />Demon~trations, Education Program, Technical Field Committee); (4) We11ton- <br />Mohawik acreage reduction; (5) Painted Rock Reservoir land acquisition and <br />opera;tion schedule modification; (6) construction of the MODE Siphon; and <br />(7) nish and wildlife mitigation measures.
