<br />(j r . ..,..,!'; <br />u...... tJ . ) <br /> <br />Par. 41 <br /> <br />Storage and handling of flammable and combustible <br />materials, provisions for fire prevention, and control of <br />dust resulting from drilling operations shall be in <br />accordance with the applicable provisions of the <br />Department of Labor "Safety and Health Regulations <br />for Construction" and the Bureau of Reclamation <br />Supplement thereto. <br /> <br />Dust nuisance resulting from construction activities <br />shall be prevented in accordance with Paragraph 42, <br /> <br />The costs of complying with this paragraph shall be <br />included in the prices bid in the schedule for the <br />various items of work. <br /> <br />42. DUST ABATEMENT <br /> <br />During the performance of the work required by these <br />specifications or any operations appurtenant thereto, <br />whether on right-of-way provided by the Government <br />or elsewhere, the contractor shall furnish all the labor, <br />equipment, materials, and means required, and shall <br />carry out proper and efficient measures, such as <br />sprinkling the access road to the bottom of the canyon <br />wherever and as often as necessary to reduce the dust <br />nuisance, and to prevent dust which has originated <br />from his operations from damaging crops, orchards, <br />cultivated fields, and dwellings, or causing a nuisance <br />to persons. A work on the <br />rights-of-way n essary for access to he site shall be <br />performed by he contractor at his e ense and will <br />require appr val by the contracting officer. The <br />Government assumes no responsibil y for the <br />condition maintenance of any ex is .ng road or <br />structure t erean that may be used by th contractor <br />for perfor ing the work under these specifi tions and <br />for travel ng to and from the site of the work <br /> <br />The 10 tion of the existing access road from ighway <br />No.3 7 to the vicinity of the work is shown n the <br />drawi gs.
