<br />w <br />CJ1 <br />co <br />o <br /> <br />REPORT ON COLORADO RIVER BASIN <br />SALINITY CONTROL PROGRAM <br />. by <br />Colorado River Basin Salinity <br />Control Advisory Council <br />January 1981 <br /> <br />The Council is comprised of up to three members, <br />appointed by the Governor, from each of the seven Colorado <br /> <br />River Basin states. The current membership is shown on <br /> <br />Attachment A. During the 1979-80 Fiscal Year, Daniel F. <br /> <br />Lawrence, Utah, served as Council Chairman and Wesley E. <br /> <br /> <br />Steiner, Arizona, as Vice Chairman. On September 12, 1980, <br /> <br /> <br />the Council selected George Christopulos, Wyoming, Chairman <br /> <br /> <br />and David Robbins, Colorado, as Vice Chairman for the <br /> <br />following year. Most of the members of the Advisory Council <br /> <br />are also members of the Colorado River Basin Salinity Con- <br /> <br />trol Forum. The Council and Forum have different, but <br /> <br />related, functions. <br /> <br />The legislative authority, functions, and duties of <br />the Advisory Council, its relationship to the Salinity <br />Control Forum and the Colorado River Basin salinity control <br />program were covered in the Council's first annual report, <br /> <br />dated July 22, 1976. <br /> <br />The Advisory Council met on December 4, 1979 in Denver, <br />Colorado, and again on September 12, 1980 in Santa Fe, New <br />Mexico, since the last report was submitted.
