<br />cr-; <br />, <br />'-0" <br />~ <br />C. <br />..J <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />(3) Seasoning and Testing Period <br /> <br />After construction is completed, but before the facilities <br /> <br />are transferred to the GVIC to operate and maintain, a seasoning <br /> <br />and testing period will be provided. <br /> <br />Reclamation proposes <br /> <br />that GVIC operate and maintain the facilities during this period <br /> <br />before GVIC agrees to accept responsibility for O&M. Reclamation <br /> <br />will provide adequate funds in advance to GVIC for this work. <br /> <br />The purpose of this period is to insure that the improved lateral <br /> <br />is operating properly and that most construction deficiencies <br /> <br />are corrected. <br /> <br />(4) Transfer of Facilities <br /> <br />After <br /> <br />completing <br /> <br />construction <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />improved <br /> <br />lateral::>, <br /> <br />inspection will be made by GVIC, lateral users reprel::lentative, <br /> <br />and Reclamation to determine what deficiencies if any exist <br /> <br />and to agree on a course of action to correct them. When the <br /> <br />deficiencies have been defined, the corrective action program <br /> <br />agreed upon, and the seasoning and testing period completed, <br /> <br />Reclamation will provide written notice and GVIC will accept <br /> <br />the care, operation, and maintenance responsibility of the <br /> <br />lateral improvements. <br /> <br />19 <br />
