Barnett <br />Executive Director <br />Colorado River Basin Salinity <br />Control Forum <br />106 West 500 South, Suite 101 <br />Bountiful, Utah 84010 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Barnett: <br /> <br />Proposed Report on the 1984 Review - <br />Water Quality Standards for Salinity <br />Colorado River System <br /> <br />This is in response to the June 7, 1984 invitation by <br />the California members of the Colorado River Basin Salinity Control <br />Forum to make comments and suggestions on the above titled report. <br />We are in general agreement with all points covered in the report <br />and support the report's recommendations. <br /> <br />Of particular importance are the recommendations to <br />expedite completion of two salinity control units, the Paradox <br />Valley and Grand Valley Units, authorized by Section 202, Title II, <br />of Public Law 93-320, the Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Act. <br />In addition, we support the implementation of the Department of the <br />Interior and Department of Agriculture salinity control projects <br />described in the plan of implementation.
