The report was published <br />by the United States Water Resources Council. Also, the "1975 National <br />Water Assessment, Arkansas-White-Red River Basins, State Regional Future- <br />Texas," which accompanied the '75 Water Assessment has been ~eviewed. Both <br />reports were transmitted by YO\lr letter to me dated July 8, 1976. <br /> <br />The objecUve of the 1975 Assessment as stated in your letter is consistent <br />with the responsibilities and programs of this Department. We feel that <br />the maintenance of adequate water supplies ,is instrumental in assuring public <br />health protection. This Department supports the efforts of the United States <br />Water Resources Council to ~esolve the existing and developing water,and <br />land resource problems.
