~...

. ,
.,

.

.

00lGd7

BATl'LEMENT MESA PROJECT. A proposed feasibility report is scheduled for

completion in F.Y. 1966.

Plan fonnulation studies, water supply studies, and agricultural

economy studies are in progress on the BLUESTONE PROJECT. A proposed

feasibility report is scbeduled for completion in F.Y. 1967.

On the UPPER GUNNISON PROJECT, collection of agricultural, economic,

and irrigation data has been completed on representative farms selected

for evaluation in determining the scope of the feasibility studies to be

undertaken. Conclusions reached from the data obtained are that the

scope of the feasibility investigations should be limited to supplying a

supplemental water supply to bolster the economy of the existing farm

units and through bringing in a amall amount of neY lands for irrigation

that can be incorporated into existing units. The scope also should

include feasible municipal and industrial water supplies, related recre-
I
ation and f'ish and vildJ.ife developnenta, and such pover developnent as

may be found practical.

Plan fonnulation studies, engineering surveys, drainage studies,

and water supply studies are in progress on the GRMlD MESA PROJECT.

Arrangements are underway preparatory to negotiating a contract to secure

aerial topography of the project area.

Preparation of design data and writing of the plan formulation and

water supply appendixes are in progress on the modified plan for the

YELLOW JACKET PROJECT. Cooperative studies with other Federal agencies

are continuing.

Advance Planning
On the FRUITIAND MESA PROJECT control surveys required for the
aerial mapping contract (negotiated earlier) vere in progress.

5
