.

.

.

OJJj94

event mode. Analog channels can be transmitted using either a timed mode or
and event mode.

Timed transmissions can be sent at intervals ranging from every 3.6 minutes
to 12 hours. At each interval, a message is transmitted.

In event mode, messages are transmitted only when sensor status has
changed. Every 3.6 minutes sensor status is checked. If no change has
occurred, no message is sent. If a change has occurred since the last
transmission. the measurement is sent. Battery power is conserved since
repeated reports of 'no change' are eliminated.

Event mode is very important in flash flood situations. When field
conditions are changing most rapidly, event mode provides the optimum
response. The data reporting rate automatically adjusts as conditions
intensify. Rapid sensor changes cause the most frequent and timely data
reporting.

5050 Specifications
Size. 8 in. dia. x 22 in,
Weight, 9 lbs without battery. 17 lbs with battery
Battery 9.5 amp .hour, 12 VDC. 8 lbs.
Standby current: 100 microamps
Transmission current. Light weight aluminum is used to form the
sturdy 12 inch diameter standpipe that is easy to transport and install in
remote areas.

The standpipe can be located up to 1000 feet from the 5050LL-PT sensor
site. This allows you to locate the 5090SA for optimum protection from
potentially damaging debris flows. from vandals. and for improved radio
paths.

Forest green or a dull brown paint helps the 5090SA blend in with the
surrounding vegetation and terrain.
