<br />hydrologic data presented in this report and used in the <br />administration of the compact. <br />(c) The Corps of Engineers continued to operate the conservation pool <br />of John Martin Reservoir in accordance with the terms of the <br />Compact and the orders of the Administration. A new area <br />capacity table for John Martin Reservoir was issued by the Army <br />Corps of Engineers and put into effect August 12, 1981. <br /> <br />8. Water Supply, Reservoir Operations and Hydrologic Data <br />The 1985 Arkansas River Compact year and the winter storage season <br />for John Martin Reservoir began at 0001 hour November 1, 1984 with <br />204 907 acre-feet in the reservoir distributed as follows: <br />, Agreement Accounts 191,697 a.L <br />Permanent Pool 13,210a.l. <br /> <br />204,907 a.l. <br /> <br />Winter Storage ended at 2400 hour on March 31, 1985 with a total of <br />t49,194.91 acre-feet of winter water stored during this period. This water <br />was distributed to the accounts as follows: <br />Compact Water <br />Amity Canal, Article III water <br />FL Lyon Canal Article III water <br />Las Animas Consolidated <br />Article III water <br /> <br />1l6,1l9.62a.f. <br />14,509.88aJ. <br />15,102.12 a.l. <br /> <br />3,463.29 a.f. <br /> <br />149,194.91 aJ. <br />Following the transfer of the stored winter inflows to John Martin <br />Reservoir into the agreement accounts in accordance with the Operating <br />Plan, adopted April 24, 1980, the allocation of the reservoir contents at <br />2400 hours March 31, 1985 were as follows: <br />Compact Water <br />Amity Canal, Article III Water <br />Ft. Lyon Canal, Article III water <br />Las Animas Consolidated <br />Article III water <br />Golf Course Exchange Water <br />Agreement Water <br />Permanent Pool <br /> <br />115,762.82 a.l. <br />81,004.]7 aJ. <br />14,425.74 a.L <br /> <br />3,463.29 aJ. <br />113.53 a.L <br />115,738.71 aJ. <br />12,814.74 aJ. <br /> <br />343,323.00 a. f. <br />The summer storage period began at 0001 hour April 1, 1985 with a <br />total reservoir content of 343.323 a.f. On May 26, 1985 the top of the <br />Conservation Pool at an elevation of 3851.85 was reached. Continued <br />inflow made it necessary to spill water from the various agreement <br />accounts in order to prevent invasion of the flood control pool. The spills <br />were made in accordance with the spill criteria adopted by the <br />Administration on December 11, 1984. A total of 87,166.13 aJ. was spilled <br />from the various accounts. <br />During the summer season inflow to the Conservation Pool totalled <br />272,249.32 acre.feet. This total, minus evaporation l06ses, was all released <br />into accounts in accordance with the Operating Plan adopted April 24, <br />1980.
