The EIS was readied <br />Distribution is scheduled for July <br /> <br /> <br />002976 <br /> <br />Harquahala Valley Watershed <br /> <br />The design is complete for the Saddleback FRS and Diversion <br />and construction is scheduled for November 1979. The final <br />design for the Harquahala FRS will be completed by January <br />1980 with construction starting in early summer 1980. The <br />structure will be constructed concurrently with Reach 5, of <br />the Central Arizona Project. We completed our work with the <br />Flood Control District of Maricopa County in making flood <br />plain delineations. <br /> <br />Apache Junction - Gilbert Watershed <br /> <br />No change from last report. <br /> <br />Williams - Chandler Watershed <br /> <br />No change from last report. <br /> <br />CALIFORNIA: Central Sonoma Watershed (Sonoma County) <br /> <br />Work was begun on the re-evaluation of flood damages and <br />the environmental evaluation. <br /> <br />Lower and Upper Llagas Creek Watersheds (Santa Clara County) <br /> <br />Drafts of work plan supplements were completed, along with <br />internal SCS review and sponsor review of the EIS. Inter- <br />agency distribution of the draft EIS is scheduled for July <br />1979. <br /> <br />Lower Pine Creek Watershed (Contra Costa County) <br /> <br />San Miguelito Subwatershed, Santa Ynez River Flood <br />Prevention Project (Santa Barbara County) <br /> <br />The final EIS was filed with the Environmental Protection <br />Agency. <br /> <br />EMERGENCY WATERSHED PROTECTION (SECTION 216) <br /> <br />CALIFORNIA: 1978 Storms <br /> <br />Several major storms in February and March 1978 caused severe <br />damage to many channels, streams and rivers in 13 southern <br /> <br />0-21 <br />
