DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE <br /> <br /> <br />Semi-Annual Report <br /> <br />Pacific Southwest Inter-Agency Committee <br /> <br />January 1 - June 30, 1979 <br /> <br />SOIL CONSERVATION SERVICE <br /> <br />RIVER BASIN PLANNING <br /> <br />ARIZONA: Santa Cruz-San Pedro River Basin Cooperative Study <br /> <br />All copies of the basin report have been distributed to various <br />users. Demand for the report continues, therefore, the FAC <br />has made the decision to make additional copies of the report <br />so that future requests can be fulfilled. <br /> <br />Little Colorado River Basin Cooperative Study <br /> <br />Progress had been made on field investigations needed for the <br />study. A final recreation and flooding working paper has <br />been drafted. Irrigation, fish and wildlife, and municipal <br />and industrial water supply needs working papers are currently <br />undergoing staff review. <br /> <br />A first draft of the water availability map that is being <br />developed under contract with the USGS is complete. Comments <br />have been submitted to the USGS for their use in making <br />needed changes in the map. <br /> <br />Colorado River Indian Reservation Irrigation Water Management <br />Study <br /> <br />Tbe plan of work is complete and funding for the study has <br />been granted. Tbe Parker Field Office has been gathering basic <br />resource data necessary for making study evaluations. <br /> <br />A cooperative agreement has been developed between the SCS and <br />BIA for the purpose of installing 20 on farm water measuring <br />devices. The water measuring devices will be installed by <br />September 30, 1979. <br /> <br />0-15 <br />
