MAX K. KUEHL, Page 2 of 3

investigations indicate that the 825 square mile drainage area of the
project can be developed to generate about 120 megawatts of firm
power in two stages of development at a total construction cost of
about $126,000,000.

Upper Pampanga River Project, Philippines - The project includes the
construction of a 115 meter high earth and rockfill dam at
Pantabangan; rehabilitation of existing irrigation systems serving
about 46,000 hectares; construction of new irrigation systems to
serve 31,000 hectares; the building of feeder roads; construction of
a 100 lI'H power plant.

South Platte Water Quality Study - A simulation study of the South
Platte River in Colorado, U.S.A., for the Colorado Department of
Health, the Corps of Engineers, and the Environmental Protection
Agency. The work includes developing quantity and quality values for
surface and ground water flows, making future projections, and
developing alternative plans for water quality improvement.

Seyhan Irrigation and Drainage Project, Turkey - A 50 million dollar
reclamation project for the Ministry of Public Works, comprising
188,800 hectares of the Adana Plain in southern Turkey. Scope of
work includes: technical supervision of Stage I construction;
preparation of designs and drawings for Stage II; investigations and
feasibility studies for Stage III development; and assistance in
establishing an operation and maintenance organization including
personnel training. Financed in part by a World Bank loan. Stage I
of the project included 540 kilometers of canals, 395 kilometers of
drains, and 25 kilometers of low pressure pipe. The 88 kilometers of
main canals are concrete lined. An interesting feature of this
irrigation project is the use of canalettes as laterals to convey the
water from the main canals to individual farms. Under separate
contracts, ECI also is responsible for direction of the farm
development program within the project boundaries and for
supervision of construction of Stage II.

Chief Civil Engineer, Engineering Consultants, Inc., Denver, Colorado
(1963-1973). Responsible for design of civil and structural features of
all ECI projects, also for economic and technical feasibility studies,
reconnaissance reports on water resources projects, interpretation of
site exploration, and preparation of construction specifications and
tender documents. Major proj ects included: Nan River Multipurpose
Project, Thailand; Upper Pampanga River Project, Philippines; Samanala
Wewa Multipurpose Project, Ceylon; Pranburi Irrigation Project, Thai-
land; and Thaukyegat Hydroelectric Project, Burma. Consultant on design
and structural problems for multiple arch dam designed by Construtora
Ferraz Cavalcanti S.A. of Santa Catarina, Brazil.

Assistant Chief Civil Engineer, Engineering Consultants, Inc., Denver,
Colorado (1962-1963). Responsible for design of civil and structural
features of Kremasta Hydroelectric Project, Greece and Kang Krachan
Multipurpose Project, Thailand.
