Staffing Needs and Funding

Number of Sites

In order to develop staffing and equipment needs and costs, three sampling

levels were established. The following table presents the number of evaluation

sites and advantages and disadvantages of monitoring at each level.

The number of sites displayed in the table would represent the level of sampling

in individual salinity control units. An equal number of sites could be

selected in Grand Valley and the Uinta Basin units. In the Uinta Basin, Level 2

would represent a sample of little over 5 percent of the total LTA's In Grand

Valley, Level 2 would represent about a 10 percent site sample of the individual

applications served during the last three years.
