San Juan-Charna Water Accounting Albuquerque Area Office February 2002 The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of February was computed to be 116 acre-feet (AF) as shown in Table 3. There were 47 AF net San Juan-Chama (SJ-C) losses, as shown in Table 2. There were no diversions through Azotea Tunnel this month. There was 0.17 inches of precipitation at Heron Reservoir, which is 14% of the February running average of 1.26 inches. The monthly computations for Heron Reservoir are summarized in Tables 1-3. There was a total of 116 AF of Natural (RG) released from Heron through seepage (Table 3). There was 11018 AF of SJ-C released for the month of February, of which 9975 AF was released for the City of Albuquerque (City) to the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District's (MRGCD) pool in Abiquiu. 1043 AF was released from Cochiti' s pool to the Cochiti Rec Pool in Cochiti. There was a total of 115 AF of SJ-C released for the month of February from EI Vado (Table 4) . 89 AF was from the City of Santa Fe to their pool in Abiquiu. 26 AF was released from Los Lunas to MRGCD'spool in EI Vado (internal transfer). There were no SJ-C releases from Abiquiu for the month of February. Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 166 AF. There were 0.6 AF of losses on the reservoir. Table 4 summarizes San Juan-Chama water at Otowi. Estimated sediment deposition in the San Juan-Chama pools at Abiquiu and Jemez Canyon Reservoirs, and Cochiti Lake are presented in Tables 5A-5C. Storage and evaporation of Rio Grande water in EI Vado and Abiquiu Reservoirs are shown in Table 6. Table 5C provides water accounting information for Elephant Butte Reservoir. Please note content information for Elephant Butte has been corrected taking into accountant the latest area capacity tables effective January 1, 2001. All data are provisional and subject to revision as final data are collected and analyzed.
