The <br />Great Salt Lake also is decreasing in size with a resulting exposure of thousands <br />of acres of salt mud flats. <br /> <br />Many other detailed environmental effects related to the regional plans have <br />beE'n covered in the suggested regional environmental statements. Those <br />described above appear to b" the most significant to the Pacific Southwest. <br /> <br />The trends of each of the effects discussed above are currently in progress. <br />Changes in the trend will require efforts that reach far beyond the implementa- <br />tion of any water developments suggested in any framework plan. The tempo <br />of these trends appears to be increasing. Any change in the trends must be <br />guided by public outlook. <br /> <br />The assessment in the Analytical Summary Report and its many supporting <br />documents provides information to assist the establishment of the public <br />outlook needed to guide future actions to fulfill the demands of the people. <br /> <br />" <br />
