S. Geological Survey for Ule fiscal year July I, 1971 to June 30. <br />1972, in the amount of $8,000; $4,000 for each party. These funds ale <br />for the operation of ttle Compact station at Lamar, the additional field <br />work at the other Compact stations. the maintenance of the radio <br />equipment. the prOVidIng of cunent streamflow data, and the <br />preparation of records for the Annual Report. <br /> <br />9. Findings of fJct by the Administration <br /> <br />Findings of fact were made on April 14, August 9. and August 30 <br />that the reservoir would become empty on those dates, and the State <br />Engineer of Colorado was requested to administer the river on a <br />priority basis until such time as stored water was again availJble in John <br />Martin Reservoir. <br /> <br />SPECIAL TELEPHONIC MEETING <br />April 14,1971 <br /> <br />A special telephonic meeting wa~ '"1eld on Api'll 14 1971 in <br />Jccor~ance with Article V.F of the Compact for the ~urpose' of <br />declarl~g the reservoir to become empty. It was declared thai the <br />reservOir WOuld become empty on April 19, 1971. <br /> <br />Mr. C. .J.. Kuiper.. Colorado State Engineer, and Mr. Rudy <br />StYd.u~ar. .Dlvlslon Engineer, were notified of the action and [hat <br />admrnls~ratlon of decreed water rights fOl Colorado would commence <br />on ~pnl .19 unless a change of conditions justified cancellation or <br />modificatIon of thIS notice. <br /> <br />The reservoir became empty 1800 MST on April 19. 1971. <br /> <br />Participating Members: <br />For Colorado - Mr. Reedy and Mr. Reyher <br />For Kansas - Mr. Bentrup and Mr. Green <br /> <br />-8~ <br />
