<br />It <br /> <br />.- <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />,.. .-...:.... <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />listed endangered or threatened plants, fish, or wildlife (here- <br />inafter threatened or endangered species) within the project <br />impact areas for the purpose and with the intent of aiding the <br />project sponsor in identifying the potential effects of the <br />Projects listed in Appendix A (hereinafter referred to as <br />Project or Projects) on any such species. Appendix A which <br />lists the Projects covered by this Stipulation, their location <br />and purpose, and the sponsors of such Projects is incorporated <br />herein by reference. <br />3. Upon request for a biological opinion under Sec- <br />tion7 of the Endangered Species Act by any federal agency. <br />Interior agrees that it will enter into good faith discussions <br /> <br />with the appropriate District for the purpose of developing an <br /> <br />adequate factual record to permit an evaluation as is required <br /> <br />by the Act of the impacts upon threatened or endangered species <br />protected by the Act which may result from a proposed Project. . <br /> <br />The Districts agree to supply the federal agency or Interior. <br />as appropriate, with the necessary and appropriate information <br />as required by the Act and any applicable regulations for the. <br /> <br />purposes.of completion of a biological assessment of the Proj- <br /> <br />ects under Section 7(c) of the Act, 16 U.S.C. 1536(c), prepara- <br /> <br />tion of a biological opinion under Section 7(b) of the Act, 16 <br />U.S.C. 1536(b). and, if necessary, development of reasonable <br />and prudent alternatives to the Project as planned. In this <br /> <br />connection, the Districts agree to make their experts available <br />to work with Interior for the aforementioned purposes. It is <br /> <br />- 2 - <br />
