<br />Thomson reported that the Pueblo Board of Water Works will meet with representatives
<br />from the Firm of Black and Veatch on Tuesday, October 1, to review the Pueblo portion
<br />of the Study which includes the Pipeline Study for the Southeastern Colorado Water Con-
<br />servancy District. Copies of the report should be available on that date, and will be
<br />distributed immediately to the members of the Board of Directors for their review, and
<br />formal discussion at a subsequent meeting. He stated he and Mr. 'Ogilvie are awaiting
<br />receipt of this formal report, in order that a cost analysis might be worked out relative
<br />to the proposed Pipeline to Lamar.

<br />CORPS OF ARMY ENGINEERS STUDY:
<br />
<br />Thomson reported he had received a call from the City Manager's Office, City of Pueblo,
<br />advising representatives from the District Office, Corps of Army Engineers, would be in
<br />Pueblo on Tuesday, September 24, to go over the Pueblo Flood Plan with representatives
<br />from Pueblo County, the City of Pueblo, and others interested in that aspect of the overall
<br />program. Thomson stated the plan as developed by the Albuquerque Office is still being
<br />reviewed by the Division Office in Dallas.

<br />Chairman Ciruli reported the Committee will meet upon receipt of copies of the Black
<br />and Veatch report on the Valley Pipeline.

<br />EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE:

<br />Chairman Nichols asked if it would be possible for the members of the Executive Com-
<br />mittee to meet at the District Offices on Thursday, October 3, at 10:00 a. m, The
<br />purpose of the meeting would be to continue the Study of Water Allocation. Those pre-
<br />sent agreed they could attend.
<br />
<br />LEGAL COMMITTEE:
<br />
<br />Chairman Beise reported that Mr. Gene Bond of Leadville and Denver filed a Statement
<br />of Claim in District Court on September 5, which Claim is based upon an old Placer
<br />Claim dated 1912. He stated that on Tuesday, September 24, Attorneys and representa-
<br />tives from various interested groups will meet at Twin Lakes to discuss this filing, and
<br />if deemed appropriate, he will file a protest in behalf of the Diatrict, with the matter to
<br />be set for trial on December 5,
<br />
<br />He also reported that the re-engineering of Fry-Ark facilities between Turquoise and
<br />Twin Lakes has changed our Claim. He submitted an Amended Claim, and will put on
<br />Proof for this change.
